Brand New Beginner

Our Brand New Beginner Course teaches the fundamental principles that work quickly to improve your posture, alleviate pain and focus your mind. After your first class, you will feel relaxed and energized. After eight classes, you will know why yoga is the oldest, most powerful and complete system of wellness ever created.

We greatly encourage all beginner yoga students to attend this course as well as intermediate students looking to deepen their understanding of the yoga process. Empowered Yoga is dedicated to teaching students the essence and the art of yoga.

There are 8 classes in each session. Cost of the course is $130. Pre-registration is required. Classes sell out every month.
Full time students get a discounted rate of $110, must pre-register in-person. (ID student required)

All registered Brand New Beginner students are encouraged to attend any Stationary Sequence (SS) class offered during the Brand New Beginner Course time frame (at no additional cost).

Accepted payment methods: Visa or Mastercard only. Check, cash and gift certificate are accepted in studio. Please call the studio at 302.654.YOGA for any questions.


How does the BNB work?

Each BNB class builds onto the previous one. You will learn all of the fundamental elements that make up the Empowered Yoga Methodology. Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class. During the first class your will receive a proper orientation to our centers and an overview to Empowered Yoga Methodology. You will begin learning the Stationary Sequence (SS) which is a series of postures that strengthens and lengthens the mind and body while bringing you into greater balance. In your first class you will learn eight to ten postures.

Your second class will begin with your teacher guiding you through the postures introduced in the first class. Once completed you will stop and the teacher will begin to educate you about the rest of the postures within the SS. If you miss a class you may fall a bit behind yet our teachers will assist you. It is important to attend all eight of the designated BNB classes in the month that you have registered. It is also very important that you make an effort to attend at least one other SS class during each week (again this is at no additional charge). If you can attend a minimum of 12 classes in the first month of your yoga career you will begin feeling the powerful benefits practicing Empowered Yoga yields.  

The next six classes in the BNB series will continue to break down the postures and the yoga process. The BNB course will help you develop a strong foundation upon which you can develop a yoga practice and a new found sense of awareness.

What do I need to bring to Empowered yoga?

• Yoga mat. Mat rental is $4.
• A towel and water.
• Practice on an empty stomach.
• No scents or perfumes.
• No chewing gum.
• Please turn beepers and cell phones off when in the studio.
• Bring a non-judgmental attitude.
• Be prepared to work hard, sweat and step into your Power!
