Balancing Massage
A straight forward approach to transformative bodywork that merges western traditions with eastern knowledge. This table massage combines Swedish massage techniques, myofascial release, and Thai- influenced stretching, with Reiki and bilateral energy point balancing. Clients are taken to another plane where their minds are still, awareness heightened, muscles relaxed, and the body aligned.
Craniosacral Therapy
The human body has many rhythms pulsing through it at all times. Most of us are aware of the cycle of the breath and the beat of the heart, but below these is the pulse of the "river of life". Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) surrounds the central nervous system, providing nourishment to the brain and spinal cord, and removing the waster products that they emanate.
Craniosacral Therapy, developed by Dr. John Upledger, works with the CSF, helping to remove blockages and return it to a natural rhythm. In this therapy, clients are brought to a state of stillness, allowing the body to heal itself. Some symptoms that can be helped with Craniosacral Therapy are TMJ, headaches, migraines, muscular pain, sciatica, arthritis, etc.
Traditional Thai- Yoga Bodywork:
A 2500 year old martial art cultivated in Thailand, Thai- Yoga Bodywork is the ultimate massage experience. This Asian style of bodywork is performed on a mat, clients are taken through a series of passive yogic stretches, aided with the use of palmar pressure, rocking, rolling forearms and footwork.
On a subtle level, Thai opens the chakras, balances marma points, clears sen lines, and returns equanimity to the body/mind. Physically, muscles are released, structure realigned, organs toned, and the nervous system soothed. Overall, peace is felt.

Carrie's philosophy of massage is that the body has its own time table for healing.
In this case, it makes sense for her not to be sensitive of time so she allows more or less 2 hours for each session. |

Carrie has always been fascinated by the healing power of touch. When she was five, her uncle paid her quarters to rub his feet; at ten she was relieving her grandfather's headaches by massaging his head; and in high school her smart friends would sit in front of her in class because they knew she couldn't resist giving their shoulders a little squeeze. Fast forward to the present, Carrie is now a licensed Massage Therapist, having graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in 2002. She is dedicated to gathering as much knowledge in this field as possible, studying Hot Stone Massage, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Swedish Massage, Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Touch for Health and Traditional Thai Massage. She is also a Certified Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance.
Carrie has just studied Nerve Touch Thai Massage at Mama Lek's School in Chiang Mai, Thailand as well as Ayurvedic Massage at Barbery Reef Resort in Beruwala, Sri Lanka.
